Test and Measurement (T&M) Quick Start Guide v8.00

  1. Follow the quick start guide for the Astral series receiver used in your setup. 
  2. Confirm the Astral TX or Astral Mini transmitter is on firmware V7.64 or later. 
  3. On the Astral Series receiver, enter 1RX view for the channel used for T&M mode.astral receiver 1RX view tm.png
  4. Set the Modulation to T&M. 
  5. Select the Gear Icon in the far-right OLED. 
  6. On the Astral ARX32 select “XLR Input Type” and change to P48.
  7. On the Astral ARX16 and ARX8 select the More button on the 4th OLED.  Select “XLR Input Type” and change to P48.
  8. Connect the measurement microphone to the Astral TX or Astral Mini transmitter via Sound Devices AC-BALXLR-4 Lemo to XLR adapter.
  9. Mount the Astral TX transmitter to the measurement microphone’s stand with the Sound Devices A-Boom 2 (sold separately).
