Download Astral ARX32 Antenna Modes
The Astral ARX32 is equipped with six independent RF antenna inputs. The RF antenna inputs are grouped into 3 separate diversity antenna pairs (A1 / B1, A2 / B2, & A3 / B3). These antenna pairs get routed into an antenna matrix splitter/combiner. The antenna matrix splitter/combiner allows 8 different configurations to route the RF antenna inputs to up to three simultaneous Tuning Bands of the Astral ARX32. This allows for spectral flexibility and the ability to provide a wider range of antenna coverage across a larger area. For instance, using “HexVersity”, all six antennas could be simultaneously assigned to one tuning band for up to 32 transmitters, providing the ultimate in robust antenna reception for all transmitters.
Another option such as “3-way Diversity” allows a unique Filter Range for each of the three Tuning Bands simultaneously like VHF, UHF, and STL creating a diverse use of the spectrum. The six antenna inputs can also be configured in many other modes as outlined below.
To expand the RF antenna distribution to additional wireless receivers, the Astral ARX32 is also equipped with RF antenna cascade outputs. The operation of the cascade ports varies depending on the selected antenna mode as described below.

Antenna Pair 1: Assigned to All 3 Tuning Bands, Antenna Pair 1 Cascade Outputs: Active
Antenna Pair 2: Disabled, Antenna Pair 2 Cascade Outputs: Disabled
Antenna Pair 3: Disabled, Antenna Pair 3 Cascade Outputs: Disabled
Typical Application: Normal diversity antenna deployments where two antennas can have the appropriate RF bandwidth to accommodate all selected Tuning Bands to cover the required area.

Antenna Pair 2: Assigned to Tuning Band 1, Antenna Pair 2 Cascade Outputs: Active
Antenna Pair 3: Disabled, Antenna Pair 3 Cascade Outputs: Disabled
Tuning Band 2 and Tuning Band 3 are Disabled
Typical Application: Deployments requiring more robust coverage and/or a larger coverage area. Selected antennas must have appropriate bandwidth to accommodate the selected Tuning Band.
